July Block of the Month

CABANA STRIPES
Makes one 12 1/2” unfinished block

You will need:
White solid - one 2 1/2” X by the following lengths (you will get these out of one strip cut from the width of the fabric)
One 2 1/2” square
One 4 1/2” long strip
One 6 1/2” long strip
One 8 1/2” long strip
One 10 1/2” long strip

Solid of your choice except black - 2 1/2” wide strips by the same lengths listed above for the white plus one 12 1/2” long (you won’t get these out of one strip W.O.F.)
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW THE PHOTO BELOW, USE WHATEVER YOU LIKE, BRIGHT COLOURS ARE BEST

Sewing - Sew the two 2 1/2” squares together, then sew the 4 1/2” solid strip to the long edge. Continue sewing in log cabin fashion, following the photo, ending with the
12 1/2” solid strip.
Square up to 12 1/2” if necessary.

This was inspired by the Modern Log Cabin Quilt pattern by Cory Yoder.
